Fundraising Ideas & Info
Are you looking for a great fundraising idea to earn money for your organization or group? Consider selling your own personalized chocolate bars!
Personalized wrappers are a unique twist to the popular, traditional form of chocolate bar fundraisers raise.
Personalized wrappers are perfect for any group looking for fundraising options. Wrappers are available in an abundance of designs. You should easily find a design that fits your organization's theme. You can choose any color, picture, font and wording of your choice.
You set the selling price for your chocolates bars depending on the market price for your area and the amount of profit you expect to receive. You can choose to purchase wrappers-only and provide the candy bars yourself or purchase the candy bar pre-wrapped.
For example, if you purchase wrappers-only for $1.00 per wrapper (which includes the foil pouch) and purchase Hershey bars for $0.40 each, you may charge a selling price of $2.00 for a profit of .60 each bar. If your organization sells 5,000 bars, that's a profit of $3,000! If you charge a selling price of $2.50 for a profit of $1.10 each bar, your profit would be $5,500! That’s quite a profit!
If you choose to purchase your candy separately, wholesalers are the easiest and least expensive way to get your candy bar supply. These can be purchased in bulk at a wholesale club such as Sam’s, BJs or Costco. Make sure you check your local Wal-mart! They often have sales of Hershey Bars for 2 Packs for $4.00. If you don't like chocolate You can add granola bars, M&Ms, Skittles, York Peppermint Patties, or any item that fits in the Hershey-sized pouch, works great! You can even add more profit by selling advertising to a local business by printing a coupon directly on the wrapper for a discount off of their products or services.
Cherished Wraps will provide you with all of the supplies you need including your personalized wrappers, foil pouches and assembly instructions.
Encourage your organization members to sell more by offering "top sellers" prizes. Inform them to sell to those they know and ask for referrals. Most shopping centers or stores will let supervised children sell outside of their doors to their customers entering and exiting, with prior approval. Who can say no to such a beautiful and creative product? |
